I can think of more than a few ‘first days of the rest of my life’. When I found out I was pregnant, when I gave birth, when Sam and I became more than friends, when I graduated.
Today is the first day of the rest of my life because I handed my resignation in on Friday.
I am no longer working in photography post-production. I am no longer a project manager/account handler/office manager or whatever title best describes my old job. I am either unemployed, looking for work, or a stay at home mum.
Mainly, I’m just me, but for some reason I feel the need to have a label ready for the question, ‘So, what do you do?’
Just being me is a bit scary.
