A tantrum at tesco because you saw the ‘treat’ aisle and I wouldn’t get anything for you meant that you refused to walk home. I picked you up but about half way home I did something to my back. I couldn’t carry you without a lot of pain, and you still refused to walk. So we sat. Sat on the pavement of our main road for almost half an hour. In the end, I had to pick you up again because we were late for your uncle’s birthday lunch. I was in a lot of pain for the rest of the day.
This is you just before we got to the pub for lunch – still having a tantrum, ten miles and an hour’s drive later (it’s ridiculous how long it takes to drive across London).

Every time, I feel compelled to grab the camera.

I was hanging out the washing on the line. I could see you hovering in the doorway, eyes fixed to the sky, chattering non-stop about the “Dodok” (helicopter). I tried to persuade you outside, but you were afraid of the noise. You stood in that doorway captivated for the whole time the helicopter was overhead.
