In celebration of the new Barclaycard Freedom Rewards Card, allowing you to collect points on all purchases, no matter where you shop, Barclaycard are championing independent retailers by asking bloggers to write about their favourite indie shops and brands. So, I have chosen to write about some of my favourite places to shop for children’s clothes.
I have two boys, so I am well aware that the boys section of high street childrenswear shops can be a very dull place. There are a LOT of blues, greys, and ‘cool’ imitations of styles you’d likely find in Topman. Whereas I naturally gravitate towards fun, colourful clothes for my boys.
I prefer to purchase clothes through independent online shops, as the selection is far more interesting, not to mention superior quality. The majority of my children’s clothes are from Archie’s Boutique, Lil Beans, Kyna Boutique, Little Legs, Love It Love It Love It, and Funky Rascal. (All the shops I’ve mentioned above are having fab January sales at the moment – it’s a great time to bag a huge bargain on quality childrenswear.)
And without a doubt, my favourite childrenswear label is Tootsa MacGinty. It’s got to the point where at least one of my children is usually wearing at least one Tootsa item every day. Clothes designed to let children be children, not mini grown-ups, girly girls, or trendy boys. Just quality, durable clothes that are fun to wear, no matter who you are. There are some sale items that I’m itching to get my hands on, and the jacket that Arlo has been wearing in virtually every outdoors photo this winter is now an absolute BARGAIN at £19.
Barclaycard have provided me with credit to spend at Tootsa MacGinty in exchange for this post.
