CBeebies Karaoke

If you were to pass by my house at any given point, you would be likely hear my wonderful singing voice as I belt out a Cbeebies number. This morning, I got a round of applause from Arlo after my perfect rendition of the Spring time song.

Those songs are just so damn catchy. Some of my favourites include:

Mike the Knight – He’s a brave young herooooo
(Sam reckons this is my favourite, judging by the frequency of my singing. It is a good song.)

Any song from Abadabas

The Numtums song

Postman Pat – Postman Pooostman Pat. Can you guess what’s in his bag? Is it a letter, is it a parcel, is it a postcard? (At which point Arlo joins in and says ‘Cat!’ after each question).

The Cbeebies birthday song. A true classic.

And perhaps the worst song from a musical point of view, but the best in terms of the good feeling it produces in parents across the land  – The time has come, to say goodnight, it’s the end of a lovely daaaaay.

But I think we can all agree that it’s about time for Boogie Pete to jog on.

Am I the only one who indulges in Cbeebies Karaoke? Which songs get stuck in your head?

    I was a bit obsessed to the winter time song, my wee man has gone off cbeebies a bit, so I dont get to sing as much

      Staying cosy, in the winter, even when it’s cold outsiiiide. Our cheeks go rosy, in the winter. I hope it snows before night tiiiime! (Oh yes, I know it well).

    Oh where do I start, well much like yours I think…
    Postman Pat, the opening and end song, Numtums but the 1, 2, 3… 4, 5, 6… 7, 8, 9, 10 bit, Tinga Tinga Tales opening song, particularly the Tales from Africaaa bit, Abadas Ella’s song, Mister Maker I am a shape! is a particular favourite. Then we have the Goodnight sun song, the Ahhhh, ahhhh, ahhh’s in Waybaloo, all the songs and in the Night Garden (including the titivers!), then exhausted to bed (maybe a little extra Iggle Piggle song on the changing table)
    Oh and he really loves the Birthdays bit!!!

    The favourite in our house is “TREE FO TOM”. Just that bit. Shouted loudly. We’ve come up with some of our own lyrics, like “RED t DAN” (Willows Dad). Try it – tis fun. Only problem is I always have at least one of the Cbeebies songs going round my head when I’m trying to get to sleep. Or worst when I’m out in public and I suddenly burst into song, queuing at Asda or something 🙂

    Tinga tinga tales, it’s the land of why. It’s a fave for both of us. Oh and guess with jess, Amelia loves it. I can’t stop singing them, thankfully much to her delight.

    Haha I love CBeebies sign-a-alongs! Show Me, Show Me is my fave and I used to like the happy birthday song but they went and changed it all! x
