Traditional cleaning products contain chemicals like ammonia, bleach, and other VOCs which harm both our health and the environment.
Breathing in such substances are bad for the body, and these products pollute our rivers when washed down the drains. Thankfully there are some natural ways that you can get your bathroom nice and clean!
Vinegar is highly acidic, so it can easily dissolve grime and dirt. When you clean with vinegar, rest assured, you’ll be killing those nasty germs that build up over time. When it comes to your showers and bathtubs, all that mildew and soap scum be tough to clean. It’s a good idea to put some white vinegar into a spray bottle and leave the vinegar to soak for at least ten minutes before you rinse it away.
With the toilet, pour around 3 or 4 cups of vinegar into the bowl and then leave a few hours before flushing. You can also use a toilet brush and vinegar to scrub the toilet seat and inside of the bowl. White vinegar kills 99% of bacteria, and it also kills viruses and mold. Once you’ve given your bathroom a good once over with vinegar, you’ll know that everything is perfectly clean. You can clean every area of your bathroom with vinegar; from the floors to your shower screen glass.
Baking soda is a mild alkali which can easily dissolve grease and dirt. When you are cleaning your showers and toilets, it’s a good idea to use baking soda and vinegar to make a paste. Scrubbing with both together will help to get rid of those really tough stains. Baking soda is great to get rid of odors as well as to scour and clean. Sprinkle some baking soda on a cloth and get scrubbing that tub! Before long, you’ll have a bath that looks as good as new.

To give your bathroom a real good clean, you should get yourself some lemons. Lemons are packed with acid that works as both an antiseptic and an antibacterial agent.
