I’m part of the Netflix Stream Team!

My love affair with Netflix began when I asked for a subscription for my birthday last year, and since then, I haven’t looked back.

There are so many amazing shows on Netflix, and there are new ones being added on a monthly basis. During my time watching Netflix shows, I have slowly but surely deduced that there is no such thing as a bad Netflix show.

Netflix very carefully handpick shows that originally aired on network television according to their reception and popularity. And then there are the Netflix Original films and TV shows – content created exclusively for Netflix themselves. For me, Netflix Originals are always interesting, good television. I honestly haven’t watched anything that I didn’t immediately want to binge more of.

What is the Netflix Stream Team?

I jumped at the chance to be part of the Netflix Stream Team for this year. Having followed along and devoured previous stream teamers’ blog posts and found so many great television recommendations from doing so, I knew instantly that writing about my Netflix habits would be a perfect fit for my blog. If you haven’t heard of the Stream Team before, it’s a group of bloggers who help spread the word and their thoughts on Netflix’s offerings.

If you follow my Instagram stories, you will know that one of my most frequent settings in which I Story, is in front of the telly, whilst Otto naps and the boys are at school. This is when I take a break from my work to eat lunch and get my hour of ‘me-time’ in. It fills me with no end of happiness to be able to OFFICIALLY be able to class that time as work now, part of my stream team duties. Next time Sam send me an accusatory text after seeing that I’m yet again sat on the sofa Instagram story-ing my thoughts on whichever series I’m currently watching, he won’t have a leg to stand on! ; )

Netflix Stream Team

It’s pretty telling that I’ve got this far into this blog post without even mentioning that the kids love Netflix too. Whilst it’s true that in this house, Netflix is MY baby first and foremost, we also use it a lot for the children. Generally, we load up the app on our phones on a weekend morning whilst we feebly attempt to get a slither of extra lie in time. 9 times out of 10, they opt for Paw Patrol and Blaze and the Monster Machines, but I love that there is always something new to find on Netflix for children.

Selfishly, I love that the episodes roll one after the other, so when I need to be getting on with things at home, I’m not constantly running in to press play on another episode or field arguments about which specific episode they were watching last.

I am really excited about a few upcoming new seasons on Netflix (Stranger Things to name one), and I also know that during my time on the Stream Team there will be countless more shows that I fall in love with and want to write about.

What are your favourite Netflix shows?
