I had high hopes that we’d take this month’s family portrait outside, but the snow and rain we’ve been having during this prolonged winter put a stop to that. I was a bit disappointed that we’d be taken yet another photo in the same set-up (our bedroom really is the only workable option in our house), and I reckon there will be a few more bedroom shots once baby 2 is here…for the simple fact that it will be more challenging and there will be less opportunity for newborn shots outdoors.
Anyway, the upshot of doing another portrait in the same spot was that we really didn’t care how these ones turned out. We just messed around for this photo session, had fun, and picked the one that best demonstrates that.
The outtakes:
Sam brings a ‘unique’ inspiration for posing ideas – I did tell him that this shot would most likely be off-centre, but he was still not deterred.
As explained in the previous Me and Mine posts, we’ve linked up in a circle so if you are interested in seeing everyone’s family photos, you can click through and read each blogger’s post in turn. This month I am sending you on to Katie at Mummy Daddy and Me Makes Three. Katie’s love for her family really shines through in her blog posts, her Me and Mine photos being just one example of that. From Katie’s post, you can click through to the next blogger, and so on until you have seen them all.

I adore the through the legs shots!! My sister is due next week, will have to share newborn pose tips!! xx
Ahhh, all your portraits are really fun this month. I love how Sam really gets involved and plays along. My husband needs to learn to do that, he gets bored so quickly with my photo shoot ideas! x
My husband gets bored too. It’s like photographing two children. :0) Lovely photos! I think the through the legs shot os my favourite too. x
I love the one with Sam on his legs. You look like you had lots of fun doing this one, and I hear you on the newborn shots. We have limited ideas of what we can do each month as 7 week old babies aren’t known for holding their heads up and being good to photograph in different locations!
At least Arlo looks like he is having fun, Mads is rubbish with the camera at the moment!
x
you can really feel the love and fun oozing out of these shots. exciting to think that in a few months time there’ll be a new addition in your family portraits :o)
Adore the outtakes. Great shots, looks like you had so much fun.
Love these photos-such fun!
I love how much fun you all seem to have when you take your photos. xx
