Did you know the Tour de France is running through London this year?

For a certain three year old who hasn’t been parted with his bike since the day he got it, this is pretty cool news.

The route starts in Leeds on the 5th of July, wings through London on the 7th, and finishes up and the Champs Elysées on the 27th.

If you have absolutely no idea about the Tour De France, but you want to know more, this guide from the Guardian on “How to bluff your way through the Tour de France” is quite useful.

Or, if you’re like me, and have little interest in sporting events whatsoever, but the mention of a free holiday has your ears pricking up, then you might be interested to know that Yorkshire Building Society are currently running a competition to win a VIP trip for two to Paris for the final stage of the Tour de France.

All you have to do is take a picture inspired by the Tour de France, e.g. a selfie at the Grand Depart, or simply yourself on a bike ride, and upload it to Twitter or Instagram using the #tdfybs hashtag. Full details are on the competition page.

It takes 5 seconds to enter, and you could be in with a chance to win a luxury trip. Good luck!
