It is human nature not to let friends and family down. Knowing that your best friend is waiting for you to go for a run will push you to get up and join him or her.

Another way to motivate yourself is to book yourself regular beach holidays. We all want to look good in our swimming costumes. As a result, most people push themselves a bit more prior to a holiday. Try to book yourself two or three short beach breaks each year, to keep the momentum going.
