If you were to pass by my house at any given point, you would be likely hear my wonderful singing voice as I belt out a Cbeebies number. This morning, I got a round of applause from Arlo after my perfect rendition of the Spring time song.
Those songs are just so damn catchy. Some of my favourites include:
Mike the Knight - He’s a brave young herooooo
(Sam reckons this is my favourite, judging by the frequency of my singing. It is a good song.)
Any song from Abadabas
The Numtums song
Postman Pat – Postman Pooostman Pat. Can you guess what’s in his bag? Is it a letter, is it a parcel, is it a postcard? (At which point Arlo joins in and says ‘Cat!’ after each question).
The Cbeebies birthday song. A true classic.
And perhaps the worst song from a musical point of view, but the best in terms of the good feeling it produces in parents across the land – The time has come, to say goodnight, it’s the end of a lovely daaaaay.
But I think we can all agree that it’s about time for Boogie Pete to jog on.
Am I the only one who indulges in Cbeebies Karaoke? Which songs get stuck in your head?
